The Hennessey Mammoth, a tuned TRX, makes 1,012 horsepower.
Torque climbs to a whopping 969lbs.
The 0-60mph time drops from 4.5 to 3.2 seconds.
The 2021 Ram TRX is, for the moment, an incredible and completely unreasonable vehicle. Having 702 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque in a production full-size pickup is madness. For a week, and in snow, we reveled in the power, the noises, and the truck’s power and speed. For some, however, this is only a starting point. Enter the Hennessey Mammoth 1000.
To achieve 1,012 horsepower and 969 lb.-ft. of torque, Hennessey replaces the TRX’s supercharged 6.2-litre HEMI V8’s standard headers with stainless steel units, upgrades the supercharger and pulleys. The engine upgrades also include a new high-flow exhaust system – the sound must be Earth-shattering. The resulting power sends the Mammoth 1000 to 60mph in only 3.2 seconds.
What’s more, Hennessey will fit a 2.5-inch lift kit from its Mammoth Off-Road Stage 1 package which also includes a custom front bumper with LED lights, 20-inch Hennessey 10-spoke wheels, 35-inch off-road tires, and a front suspension leveling kit, as reported by Carsccops.
“The RAM 1500 TRX is exciting in stock configuration, but I’m seeking extraordinary,” said Founder and CEO, John Hennessey. “The MAMMOTH 1000 upgrades completely transform this impressive pickup into something astonishingly powerful, visually exciting, and indisputably unique.”
Only 200 Hennessey Mammoth 1000 will be built. The total cost, including the “standard” TRX, is $135,350.
