A First Full Image of the New 2023 Lexus RZ 450e Fully Electric SUV

  • This is our first full image of the new 2023 Lexus RZ 450e, the second fully-electric SUV from Lexus

  • The new Lexus RZ450e is expected to go on sale next year

Hours after unveiling two images of the new Lexus RZ 450e 2023, Lexus has released an image showing its new 100% electric SUV in all its glory.

Based on the 2023 Toyota bZ4X which will be Toyota’s first electric vehicle, the 2023 Lexus RZ 450e promises to offer more luxury and refinement. However, it shares its powertrain with the bZ4X. This is the second 100% electric SUV from Lexus after the UX 300e presented in 2019.

Without revealing much information about its new electric SUV, Lexus has confirmed that it shares most of its components with the 2023 Toyota bZ4X and the Subaru Solterra. The new electric vehicles from Toyota and Subaru will feature a dual electric motor powertrain with 215 horsepower.

The Lexus RZ 450e is expected to be more powerful, however. It could have more than 300 horsepower like the hybrid-powered Lexus RX 450h, which has 308. The RZ 450e is a compact electric luxury SUV that will take on the Cadillac LYRIQ and possibly the Audi e-tron and new BMW iX.

Nothing has been announced about the range, but the bZ4X and Solterra will offer about 354 kilometers in their all-wheel drive versions. We expect to see the new Lexus RZ 450e 2023 next year.
