Lifted, widened G70 promises off-road capability
Delta 4×4 built the G70 for Essen show
When you think of off-roading, Genesis might not be the first brand that comes to mind. It’s probably not even in the top five. But this beast from Delta 4×4 might just change that.
Genesis partnered with German off-road specialist Delta Geländesport to transform the Genesis GV70 into an overlander. It’s lifted and more rugged, with wide fenders holding chunky all-terrain tires.
Delta’s GV70 starts with the company’s B-Rugged wheels wearing Continental ATR tires. From there, Delta lifted the body and pushed those tires out by 50 mm to make sure they fit and to give it more clearance when you’re off the beaten path.
Changing the stance completely overhauls the look of the GV70. Transforming it from an elegant cruiser into a bruiser that looks ready to tear up your nearest golf course instead of dropping you off to play.
More lights, including a light bar on the roof and big new fog lights, help complete the look. At the same time, they make night-time wheeling safer and easier.
Up top, there’s a special roof rack holding storage totes, traction boards, a shovel, and more.
The Delta GV70 will be on display at the Essen show early next month. Now it’s on you, Genesis, to build something like it for production.
