Abandoned Subaru dealership now a time capsule

This is the type of find that all car enthusiasts dream about. Sure, barn finds are exciting but coming across a showroom full of brand new 25 to 30-year old cars is something else altogether.

This is especially true if you’re a Subaru fan, at least for this story. Videos of an abandoned Subie dealer in Mosta, Malta are circulation on the web. The story about the place says that the shop closed down in the late 90s after a rival dealership began importing cars of their own.

Among the many cars strewn about in the garage is a Subaru XT Turbo. The car was only available for a short while, from 1985 to 1991, and was subsequently replaced by the SVX. What’s crazy about this XT is that it’s more than likely the last remaining of its kind and for the right Subaru buyer, could be worth tens of thousands of dollars.
