ABT RSQ8-R Will Be Built In Only 125 Examples

ABT Sportsline has developed the insane RSQ8-R as a gift to itself, and fans of hyper-SUVs

  • It will be served by 740 horsepower from its boosted V8.

  • The top speed will be 315 km/h.

  • 125 units of the RSQ8-R coincide with ABT’s 125th anniversary.

ABT continues to startle performance enthusiasts with its over-the-top hyper modified products. And the latest Audi RS Q8-base RSQ8-R is one of its most phenomenal creations ever.

The Audi RS Q8 is already one of the fastest SUVs on the planet but that did not stop ABT Sportsline to quickly tune one to deliver an impressive 700 horsepower. One must believe that when ABT revealed this tuned version, that they’d left some room for their upcoming anniversary edition.

The ABT RSQ8-R adds an extra 40 horsepower, for a grand total of 740, and 679 lb.-ft. of torque thanks to the high-tech control unit ABT Engine Control and a specially designed intercooler. Visually taking the RSQ8-R to uncharted levels are 102-mm carbon tailpipes (which apparently sound ok…), a full carbon-fibre aero kit (front skirt and lip, mirror caps, side skirts, wheelhouse ventilation, fender extensions, rear skirt and spoiler) as well as weight-optimised 23-inch ABT High Performance HR wheels with 295/35 R23 tires.

The cabin is not left untouched as it earns an ABT steering wheel upgrade, a revised armrest and center console as well as the ABT seat refinement treatment. There are logos throughout reminding you that this is an ABT and coolest of all, there’s a “1 of 125” plaque behind the shifter.
