Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio Models Discontinued in North America

The Final Curtain Falls for Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio in North America

  • Alfa Romeo discontinues Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio models in North America after 2024.

  • Final orders for 505-horsepower bi-turbo V-6 models close end of April 2024.

  • Transition to electrification marks a new chapter for Alfa Romeo’s performance legacy.

Alfa Romeo is set to discontinue its Quadrifoglio performance models in North America. Larry Dominique, Senior Vice President and Head of Alfa Romeo and Fiat North America, announced on LinkedIn that 2024 will be the final year North American customers can order the Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio models equipped with a 505-horsepower bi-turbo V-6 engine. This marks the end of the solely combustion engine-powered era for these models as Alfa Romeo transitions towards electrification.

The announcement specifies that the opportunity to purchase these models will conclude at the end of April 2024. Production of the last combustion engine-only Quadrifoglio models for the U.S. and Canada will cease at the Cassino plant in June 2024. This decision aligns with the automotive industry’s shift towards more sustainable and environmentally friendly technologies, highlighting a significant change in Alfa Romeo’s product strategy and reflecting broader trends within the sector.

Dominique’s statement also hints at the future of Alfa Romeo’s performance line, indicating that the discontinuation of the current Quadrifoglio models is not the end of the road. Instead, it opens a new chapter for the brand’s storied Quadrifoglio, or four-leaf clover, emblem, which has symbolized high performance and racing success for Alfa Romeo.

The discontinuation of the Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio models in North America signifies a pivotal moment for Alfa Romeo. As the brand moves towards an electrified future, it bids farewell to an era of combustion engine dominance in its performance segment. Consumers interested in owning a piece of this legacy have until the end of April 2024 to place their orders, marking the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter in Alfa Romeo’s history.
