Alfa Romeo Shows off Electric Milano Ahead of April Reveal

Next Alfa almost here

  • Milano EV makes its debut April 10

  • The first full EV from Alfa

Alfa’s newest crossover is almost here. That means the teaser campaign has started, and this time, the company is talking about the final stages of development.

The Alfa Romeo Milano is still being wrapped up at the company’s Balocco test track. The new compact crossover will be revealed on April 10, but before then, we’re getting a look at the car under wraps.

Alfa Romeo wants to remind you that the Milano is being developed by the same team of engineers that worked on the 4C, 8C, and Stelvio Q. It calls those models “extraordinary 100% Alfa Romeo projects” to convince you that this is a real Alfa.

The test driver is Domenico Bagnasco, who validates all of the company’s production car driving experiences. The project boss is Stefano Cereda, who developed the Giulia and Stelvio diesel engines before moving to the all-electric Milan.

When it launches in April, the Alfa Romeo Milano will be the company’s first fully electric model. However, it will add some mild hybrid gas powertrains down the road. It is related to the electric Jeep Avenger and Fiat 600, though, which is why Alfa is working so hard to show us the vehicle’s development and credentials.

As far as the styling, we still can’t see much under that wrap. But design has always been a brand strong suit, and there’s no reason to doubt that this one will be a stunner.
