The Grand Cherokee is the most awarded SUV ever.
The current-generation Grand Cherokee dates back to the 2011 model year.
Many things are moving at Jeep nowadays. The recently-approved merger between FCA and PSA, henceforth to be known as Stellantis, certainly is a major occurrence. For Jeep specifically, new technologies and models are keeping headlines hot. And now, we’ll get to meet the all-new 2021 Grand Cherokee tomorrow.
According to the press release: “The all-new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee breaks new ground in exceptional performance, comfort and functionality while continuing its legacy as the most awarded and celebrated SUV ever with legendary 4×4 capability, improved on-road refinement, and premium styling and craftsmanship inside and out.”
What we do know about the new Grand Cherokee is that it will be assembled on Alfa Romeo’s Giorgio platform, the same one that underpins the very pleasing-to-drive Giulia and Stelvio. We can thus assume that this new Grand Cherokee will be the most dynamic ever.
A Grand Cherokee L, for “long”, should also be in the cards. Let’s not forget that there’s a Wagoneer and a Grand Wagoneer also on the way so we’ll likely learn where it will fit in the product line at the same time.
We’ll know more tomorrow as the reveal will be streamed online on Jeep’s YouTube channel.
