The Elantra N promises to be quite the performer.
Its turbocharged 2.0-litre engine will produce 276 horsepower.
The launch was originally planned at the now-canceled NYIAS.
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: these are good times for sport compact car enthusiasts. A few brands are feeding the desire for compact performance but none more so than the Hyundai Motor Group. Their hotly-anticipated Elantra N will officially be revealed on August 19th.
The niche and smoking hot segment has recently been joined by the all-new Volkswagen Golf GTI and Golf R. Although the FK8 Honda Civic Type R is no longer, we know that an 11th generation Type R is on the way. Speaking of Honda, Acura has just teased the return of the Integra. Toyota is also apparently working on a hotter version of the Corolla. And finally, for now, Subaru will soon reveal all-new iterations of the WRX and WRX STI.
Though there are many, no other brand is more involved in transforming small vehicles into driving machines than Hyundai. Its N Line and full-fat N vehicles are growing in numbers on a regular basis. And the next one should be the greatest of them all.
Initially, the Elantra N was to debut at the NYIAS but, as we know, the show will not take place. The 2022 Hyundai Elantra N will be launched on the following platforms on August 19th:
