The Hyundai Motor Group has recently released two of the most significant new EVs globally. In North America, both are highly anticipated and the 2022 Kia EV6 caters to those desiring future-proof styling at a reasonably affordable price point.
The base EV6 Light RWD is priced from $40,900. It features a smaller 58.0 kWh battery and a single rear-mounted electric motor. Output is rated at 167 horsepower while the range is an estimated 232 miles.
Stepping up to the Wind RWD for $47,000 means getting the larger 77.4 kWh battery pack, more equipment, and power to the tune of 225 horsepower. The sportier GT-Line RWD, at $51,200, features the same battery and electric motor output. Their estimate range stands at 310 miles.
The most attainable dual-motor EV6, the Wind Dual Motor e-AWD, is priced at $50,900. It, and the top-trim GT-Line Dual Motor e-AWD, which retails for $55,900 are both powered by a combined total system output of 320 horsepower and offer up to 274 miles of range.
These prices exclude, if eligible, the $7,500 Federal vehicle tax credit. The 2022 Kia EV6 arrives in showrooms in a few weeks.
