The 2026 Subaru Uncharted seems closely related to the upcoming 2026 Toyota C-HR.
Two powertrains would be offered, with 221 or 338 horsepower.
The Uncharted could offer a driving range of up to 500 km.
Japanese brand Subaru will soon be adding a third fully electric vehicle to its North American lineup, and it released a teaser image to get our attention. The 2026 Subaru Uncharted is its name, and it will make its official debut next week.
No information was provided, other than the fact that it’s an electric vehicle. However, the teaser image released by Subaru, showing the vehicle heading down a mountaintop trail and kicking up a cloud of dust to hide its design specifics, gave us the hint we needed to figure out some extra details.

As a matter of fact, the 2026 Subaru Uncharted’s sloping black-painted roofline, slim taillights and high-mounted rear-door handle are awfully similar to those on the recently revealed 2026 Toyota C-HR crossover coupe that’s going on sale next year.
What can we expect from the Uncharted? Well, based on the C-HR, it would be equipped with a single-motor, front-wheel drivetrain or a two-motor AWD setup. FWD units would develop 221 horsepower and its 77 kWh battery pack would provide a driving range of up to 500 km on a full charge, while AWD units would generate 338 horsepower and offer a range of 465 km. Toyota estimates a 0-to-60 mph (0-to-96 km/h) time of 5.2 seconds with the two-motor C-HR.

The 2026 Subaru Uncharted would be equipped with a native NACS charge connector to access the Tesla Supercharger network, and we’re assuming a CCS adaptor will also be available as an option.
The Uncharted should mimic the C-HR in offering a standard 14-inch infotainment system touchscreen, a digital driver instrument cluster, dual wireless phone chargers, heated front seats and steering wheel, an 8-way power driver’s seat, fabric/faux-leather or faux-leather/faux-suede seat upholstery and ambient lighting. A panoramic glass roof, driver seat position memory, a 360-degree camera system, heated rear seats and a nine-speaker stereo would be available as well.

While the 2026 Subaru Uncharted was announced in the United States, Subaru Canada has yet to release its own information about the crossover coupe that would be positioned below the 2026 Subaru Solterra and upcoming 2026 Subaru Trailseeker—which themselves are closely related to the Toyota bZ and the Toyota bZ Woodland. We’ll obtain more details about the Uncharted on July 17th.
UPDATE: Following the publication of this article, Subaru has confirmed its plans to sell the Uncharted in Canada. The crossover will be imported from Japan.
