All-New 2027 Hyundai Tucson to Debut October 1

The all-new 2027 Hyundai Tucson appears headed in a boxier direction. Ahead of its October 1 world premiere, Hyundai has released a shadowy teaser showing a more upright silhouette and a distinctly squared-off front end.

The image keeps much of the bodywork hidden, but there is enough visible to suggest a substantial visual change. A flatter-looking roofline, a broad hood and a more vertical nose give the next Tucson a rugged appearance.

A Squarer Shape and New Lighting

Lighting provides the clearest preview of the new design. A thin illuminated strip stretches across much of the front, flanked by vertical elements near the outer edges. Lower lights add width to the SUV’s face.

The visible side also appears more upright, with a relatively level roof and a squared-off rear section. Together, these details suggest Hyundai is giving the Tucson a more substantial SUV profile.

The dark setting and front three-quarter angle make it difficult to judge the proportions, however. A boxier appearance does not necessarily mean a larger vehicle, and Hyundai has not released dimensions or cargo measurements.

What Hyundai Has Yet to Reveal

The announcement identifies the Tucson as an all-new 2027 model but provides no information about its powertrains, interior layout or equipment. Canadian trim levels, pricing and dealership arrival dates also remain unannounced.

Those details will matter as much as the styling, particularly whether the new shape translates into more passenger or cargo space.

Hyundai will unveil the Tucson in Long Island City, New York, on Thursday, October 1, at 5:15 p.m. Eastern time. The presentation will stream on the HyundaiWorldwide YouTube channel.
