Hyundai has become the first automaker to offer its vehicles for direct purchase on Amazon Autos. This enables customers to browse, finance, and order new models through participating dealers. After completing the transaction online, buyers can schedule pickup at their local dealership.

The Amazon Autos platform is initially available in 54 U.S. markets, representing 71% of Hyundai’s sales volume. Hyundai plans to expand the service throughout the year to additional regions, dealers, and functionalities.

José Muñoz, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company, said the partnership stresses Hyundai’s focus on improving the car-buying experience. He described the collaboration as a step toward modernizing automotive retail and providing customers with a seamless, trusted shopping experience.

Hyundai has launched a national marketing campaign to demonstrate the ease of adding a Hyundai vehicle to an Amazon cart. The campaign includes TV, digital, and social media advertisements featuring placements during professional football and basketball broadcasts, as well as on Amazon Prime Video.

A campaign highlight is an ad set in an Amazon fulfillment center, where traditional Amazon merchandise gives way to the reveal of the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe in an Amazon shipping box.

Hyundai’s marketing effort includes a mini-campaign titled “In the Time it Takes,” from mid-January through March. The ads compare the ease of purchasing a Hyundai online to everyday tasks.
