For the third consecutive year, Mazda MX-5 Miata owners gathered for the annual meet organized by Benoit Lavigne and Germain Goyer. More than 200 Miatas converged on Mazda St-Jérôme on Sunday, September 13, the first time the event was held at the dealership. Dark clouds and early-morning mist did not make the decision to bring out a roadster an easy one, but the rain held off until the end of the event.
The first two editions took place at Mazda Canada’s regional office in Pointe-Claire, drawing over 300 vehicles in 2024 and more than 250 in 2025. This year’s edition ran in collaboration with Mazda St-Jérôme, with participants arriving from across Quebec and several hundred visitors on site.
Mathieu Leclair, newly appointed president and owner of Mazda St-Jérôme, said the third edition was “a first at Mazda Saint-Jérôme.”
“More than 200 cars in the lot, nothing but enthusiasts. It’s great to see the brand shine like this, and we’re proud to be part of it. Thank you to Germain and Benoit for organizing,” he said Sunday.
British Racing Green Tribute Marks 35 Years
The 2026 edition paid tribute to the 35th anniversary of British Racing Green, the forest green colour introduced on the Miata in 1991. The theme follows last year’s tribute to the three original 1990 launch colours, which centred on the 862nd Miata ever built.

1992 Mazda Precidia
2006 Mazda MX-5
All four MX-5 generations, NA, NB, NC and ND, were represented among the cars on the lot.
Free Admission and Funds for Rivière-du-Nord Children’s Foundation
Admission was free again this year. Funds were collected on site for the Fondation Soutien à l’enfance de la Rivière-du-Nord.
“We are thrilled that the event organized as part of the Miata’s 35th anniversary festivities in 2024 has become a tradition for fans of this iconic model. We want to acknowledge the support and encouragement of the staff at Mazda Canada’s Quebec regional office. We are all the more proud that this entirely free event raises funds for the community,” said Benoit Lavigne and Germain Goyer.
Fourth Edition Confirmed for 2027
Citing the turnout, Leclair, Lavigne and Goyer confirmed a fourth edition for next year. The date has not been announced.
