Anticipated Alfa Romeo Tonale SUV To Officially Debut This Summer

Alfa Romeo’s future is uncertain as part of the Stellantis group. If successful, the Tonale could keep the brand alive

  • Sales to begin in November 2021 in parts of Europe.

  • The US and other markets will get it come February 2022.

  • The Tonale will be Alfa’s most important new product in a long while.

Alfa Romeo is a storied brand that has been through thick and thin since it launched in 1910. The last two decades or so have been tumultuous for the Italian car company under Fiat then FCA. Despite massive investments to create the Giulia and Stelvio, sales have not reached targets, far from in fact. The Tonale could change Alfa Romeo’s fortunes around.

As Stellantis Moves Forward, Alfa Romeo And Chrysler Futures Uncertain

The Alfa Romeo Tonale concept was revealed almost exactly two years ago at the 2019 Geneva Auto Show where it was indicated that the handsome vehicle was to remain a concept. Thankfully, and more or less as expected, production of the Tonale was confirmed and now, as shared by Carbuzz, we now know when it’s coming.

The 2022 Alfa Romeo Tonale will debut this summer and go on sale in select European markets as of this November. Sales will hit their stride coming February of 2022 when other markets will get it including the US.

The 48-volt 330-horsepower mild-hybrid Tonale could be joined by a smaller SUV with components shared with the next-generation Fiat 500X and its twin, the Jeep Renegade. The potentially-named Brennero could also debut sometime in 2022 as well.
