Aston Martin Brings Virtual Dreadnought SUV to Life with Full-Scale Display Model

Aston Martin is displaying the Dreadnought, a military-inspired virtual SUV created exclusively for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. This marks one of the British luxury automaker’s most ambitious entries into interactive entertainment.

Developed with Infinity Ward and Activision, the Dreadnought is designed to appear in Call of Duty: Warzone and DMZ gameplay, where players can locate and drive it during missions. The effort is part of Aston Martin’s project, which extends its strategy of engaging new audiences through digital experiences.

Although conceived as a digital asset, Aston Martin also produced a full-scale physical model that debuted at Fanatics Fest in New York, giving visitors the opportunity to see the concept outside the virtual world.

The design team developed the Dreadnought without the engineering and regulatory limitations associated with production vehicles, allowing them to create an extreme interpretation of a high-performance all-wheel-drive SUV. The concept incorporates military-inspired armour, adaptive combat technologies and tactical equipment while retaining signature Aston Martin styling cues.

The virtual vehicle is powered by a twin-turbocharged V12 producing 824 hp, like the Vanquish GT. No performance figures are to be released, but the concept features oversized off-road tires, long-travel dual-shock suspension, and increased ground clearance, all intended to tackle high-speed driving across challenging terrain in the game.

Despite its combat-oriented mission, the Dreadnought includes numerous Aston Martin design elements. Exterior details include Chiltern Green paint, carbon-fibre construction, Valhalla-inspired quad exhaust outlets, Valour-influenced rear styling and lighting derived from the Valkyrie. Inside, Oxford Tan leather trim, metallic gold accents and digital driver displays are combined with military equipment, including weapons storage, protective shields and specialized controls for in-game combat functions.

According to Aston Martin, the Dreadnought has no confirmed production plans. However, the company noted that its bespoke division has previously transformed one-off concepts into real vehicles.
