Aston Martin DB5 Rendered into a Nascar-Style Racer

Most will think that this Aston Martin DB5 is ruined however it’s undeniably attractive at the same time

  • Artist creates a very cool and blasphemous DB5.

  • The idea was to combine a Nascar chassis with Aston Martin’s exquisite styling.

The Aston Martin DB5 is undoubtedly one of the most famous classic cars in the world. Its celebrity-car status thanks to James Bond, one of the most successful series of movies in history, has made it instantly recognizable. This rendered DB5 is that however, it’s far from the car we all know.

The artist, Abimelec Design, has imagined what many will refer to as a hideous and ruined classic Aston Martin DB5. He explains that his vision for this car was a combination of sheet metal elegance and a brutal stance. He also notes that few if any ever dare to modify the DB5 due to the expense and the car’s sacred nature.

The rendered DB5 features a 5.2 litre flat-plane crank V8 from a Ford Shelby GT350, ultra-wide, and over-the-top Goodyear Billboard tires stuffed under cut up fenders. The DB5 is painted a light beige exterior with a plaid and green interior. The final touch is C1 Corvette-inspired mesh covers for the headlights.

We’re honestly torn by the unexpected nature of the rendering and the fact that a DB5 should never be put under the knife in such a fashion.
