Aston Martin and Zagato are once again pairing up to create a collection of exquisite cars. For this round, the DBZ Centenary Collection will include the Aston Martin DBS GT Zagato and the DB4 GT Zagato Continuation.
Zagato is a coachbuilder that was founded 100 years ago and has designed and built bodies for brands such as Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Fiat, Jaguar, Maserati, and at one point in time, even Rolls Royce.
While they continue to be an independent company, they’re probably best-known for their work with Aston Martin. Over the decades, they’ve created some of the most unique AMs, all of which are instantly recognizable as Zagatos.
These latest creations will aid in celebrating 60 years of collaboration between the two brands and highlight Zagato’s century of work.
The Aston Martin DBS GT Zagato will be based on the DBS Superleggera and will likely rely upon the donor car’s 715-horsepower and 663 lb.-ft. of torque twin-turbocharged 5.2-liter V12 engine. This car will feature the traditional double-bubble roof design while grille, headlights, and wheels designs will be inspired by the classic DB4 GT Zagato from 1960.
The DB4 GT Zagato Continuation is a modern replica of the original car right down to the 380-horsepower, 3.8-liter twin-plug inline-6-cylinder engine and 4-speed manual transmission.
Now, if you’re in the market for either or car, you’re in luck as both are sold as a pair. Said pair goes for £6 million (roughly $8M USD) however don’t hesitate as only 19 of these sets will be manufactured.
