The DB12 S’ 4,0L Bi-turbo V8 engine delivers 690 horsepower (700 PS).
Software changes to the active dampers and vehicle stability control systems improve handling.
Design changes include red “S” logos and accents, a front splitter, and a fixed rear spoiler.
Aston Martin unveiled the latest addition to its “S” family of models in the form of the DB12 S, the most powerful version of the Super Tourer.
Also available on the DBX and Vantage, S models denote the most powerful and best-handling versions of each Aston Martin vehicles.
In the case of the DB12, the S variant brings a more powerful iteration of the brand’s twin-turbo 4,0L V8 engine that delivers 690 horsepower (700 PS) and 590 lb-ft of torque, which is 20 horsepower more than in the regular DB12, but the same torque figure.
To improve straight-line acceleration, this increased power is paired with a retuned transmission that shifts more than twice as quickly, providing a 0 to 100 km/h sprint of only 3,5 seconds, 0,1 seconds less than the regular DB12. Top speed is rated at 325 km/h.

In addition to its increased power, the DB12 S benefits from a number of weight reduction measures, such as the standard fitment of carbon ceramic brakes that weigh 27 kilograms (60 pounds) less than comparable steel brakes while also providing superior braking performance and better heat resistance. The entirety of this weight reduction is from unsprung weight, improving handling.
Other measures used to improve handling include retuned software for the Bilstein DTX adaptive dampers, a stiffer rear anti-roll bar, and reworked suspension geometry.
A further weight reduction of 11.7 kilograms (26 pounds) can be achieved via the optional titanium exhaust system, which also increases engine noise by 1,5 decibels.
In addition, the DB12 S receives the latest generation of the Aston Martin Corner Braking Control (CBC) system which provides torque vectoring across the rear axle, helping the car rotate around corners while under power. This system also improves vehicle dynamics during braking before a corner by sending more stopping power to the rear in order to make a tighter cornering line possible.

To match its increased performance, the Aston Martin DB12 S also includes a few design tweaks inside and outside, the latter of which are also functional.
For example, this model features a dual-element front splitter that increases downforce while making for a more grounded look to the car’s front end. Hood louvers make the look even more aggressive while helping extract more hot air from the engine compartment.
Black side skirts keep up the grounded theme from the side, and a fixed spoiler combined with a revised diffuser bring the rear end up to the same standard.
Hand-made “S” emblems in either red or dark chrome complete the external modifications over the regular DB12.
Inside, the DB12 S also benefits from subtle modifications, such as a red rotary drive mode selector and embroidered S logos in the seat backs.
Both coupe and Volante (convertible) versions of the Aston Martin DB12 S will be available starting in the first quarter of 2026.
