The Audi AI:ME will be unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show on April 15, 2019 announced the German manufacturer. The concept will show the idea of an autonomous car “for the megacities of tomorrow.”
On the eve of the Shanghai auto show, the German automaker Audi unveiled some sketches of a concept they named AI:ME. It’s a compact autonomous car that should be used as a transportation mode in urban centers.
After more conventional concepts like the e-tron GT and the Q4 e-tron, the manufacturer seems to be moving towards intelligent and autonomous mobility with the AI:ME.
There are only a few drawings to visualize this concept, and, by the look the lines, we see it more as a pod than a car. Fortunately for our car lovers’ hearts, this pod has a steering wheel …
In fact, the look of this concept is reminiscent of what we see in science fiction movies … You can think of the cockpit of the RSQ in I, Robot, but without angry robots.
On the dashboard, which looks like a giant touch screen (much like in the film starring Will Smith), we can see the words “Discover”, “Moment” and “Well Being”.
We will know more on the Audi AI:ME Concept on April 15th during the 2019 Auto Shanghai.
