This will be the first all-electric compact SUV from Audi.
Its interior will set standards.
Production began just over two weeks ago.
The Audi Q4 e-tron electric SUV has been making headlines for a little more than two years now. Since then, we’ve learned about range, interior accouterments, and the addition of a Sportback version. So far, however, we’ve not yet seen the final production version. That will change on April 14th.
In March alone, Audi’s shared details and images of the high-tech cabin which will feature several display screens including an optional 11.6-inch central display. The latter will make it the largest available in any Audi product. As well, an augmented reality head-up display will feature forward-floating arrows for navigation instructions will also be offered.
Most recently, Audi announced that production of the Q4 e-tron had just begun at the Zwickau, Germany plant, Audi’s birthplace. The Q4 is built upon Volkswagen’s MEB platform, the same that underpins the VW ID.3 and ID.4. Thanks to this structure, and the use of clever design, the Q4 will among the most spacious in its segment.
Everything will be revealed at the online streaming event next week. It will begin at 7 pm Central European Summer Time, on Wednesday, April 14th.
