The event happens on Wednesday, November 9th.
The new Q8 e-tron will sit atop Audi’s electric SUV offensive.
Audi is ramping up its electric vehicle offering through its growing e-tron family. The midsize self-titled e-tron and e-tron Sportback started the party a few years ago. They were joined by the exceptional e-tron GT and most recently, the all-new Q4. In only a few days, we’ll meet the new Q8.
There’s little to go on as far as details about the new Audi Q8 e-tron are concerned however the teaser image clearly shows both the SUV and Sportback body styles. As the teaser image states “new” and not all-new, it is understood that this is the e-tron’s mid-cycle refresh. Another element that it seems evident now is that the e-tron name will be replaced by “Q8 e-tron” moving forward.
The next-generation Q8 e-tron isn’t expected before 2026 however the updated 2023 model-year SUV should still see some considerable upgrades beyond simply new bumpers and whatnot. Depending on the source, a battery upgrade and new more efficient electric motors are very real possibilities.
We’ll find out more on Wednesday, November 9th.
