Audi USA Says Goodbye to TT RS For 2022 With Heritage Edition Specials

TT RS says farewell in style

  • Five special versions, one for each cylinder

  • 2.5L five-cylinder TT RS will live on in other markets

America is about to say farewell to the five-cylinder fury of Audi‘s TT RS. To say goodbye to one of the most character-filled engines in the business, the automaker is releasing a very limited edition.

Just 50 Audi TT RS Heritage Edition cars will be sold for model year 2022, the car’s last in the US. 10 each of five different colour choices, some of which will be first-time combinations for the US market. The cars come with plenty of special equipment including bi-colour 20-inch wheels, an Alcantara wheel with center-stripe that matches the seats, OLED tails, and sport exhaust.

The cars will get a rear wing delete and will have Heritage Edition and the quattro logo etched into the rear glass. Beside the Heritage Edition lettering is 1-2-4-5-3, the firing order of the Audi five-pot that helps make the RS so special.

The five colour combos available are:
Alpine White with Ocean Blue leather and Diamond Silver stitch
Helios Blue metallic Diamond Silver leather and Ocean Blue stitch
Stone Gray metallic with Crimson Red leather and Jet Gray stitch
Tizian Red metallic with Havanna Brown leather and Jet Gray stitch
Malachite Green metallic with Cognac Brown leather and Black stitch

Audi says the 2022 TT RS Heritage Edition will go on sale in early 2022, starting from $85,350.

What about the 394 hp five-cylinder? It is still available in the US in the RS3 including the all-new RS3 on sale next summer. Audi says that the TT RS “will live on in other international markets for some time.” For our Canadian readers, we reached out to Audi Canada to find out the status of the RS and were told there was nothing official to communicate.
