- Automobili Pininfarina unveiled the Battista Anniversario;
- Only five of them will be built;
- It will be hand-built in Cambiano, Turin and will start at €2.6 million.
With the Geneva Motor Show cancelled, manufacturers are unfortunately forced to reveal their creations without a live presentation. Teased last week, the Automobili Pininfarina Battista Anniversario made its world debut today.
Built to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the legendary Pininfarina coachbuilder and design house, the Battista Anniversario will be extremely limited. Indeed, only five of the all-electric hypercar will be created by the carmaker. Just like the Battista, the special edition will be hand-built in Cambiano, Turin.
Having an ultra-limited car sure comes at a price. Automobili Pininfarina said the Battista Anniversario will start at €2.6 million (or about $2.9 million USD). Each of the five limited editions receives a “bespoke heritage-inspired anniversary livery”. That means the Battista Anniversario is getting painted in a combination of three signature colours, with one of them completely new and never seen before called Grigio Antonelliano. The other two are named Bianco Sestriere and Iconica Blu, which is Pininfarina’s signature colour.
A ‘Furiosa’ package will also come with the Anniversario and features a revised carbon fibre front splitter, side blades and rear diffuser. Not only that but a bespoke rear wing, rear aero fins and a lot more details make the special edition unique.
“For 90 years, the Pininfarina name has been at the forefront of automotive design and performance, and the Battista perfectly encapsulates these values,” said Michael Perschke, CEO, Automobili Pininfarina. “This ultimate expression of Battista, the Anniversario, is the distillation of everything that the brand has stood for in the past and which we now strive for in the future, creating a new pinnacle of desirability for sustainable and luxurious electric cars.”
Now, for the powertrain, the Automobili Pininfarina Battista Anniversario is powered by four electric motors pushing 1,900 hp and 2,300 Nm torque capable of sprinting to 100 km/h from standstill in less than 2 seconds on its way to 300 km/h, which can be reached in less than 12 seconds. With that said, Automobili Pininfarina states that the Battista Anniversario is capable of a range of over 500 km.
Inside, the limited-edition Battista is getting unique seats in black leather and black Alcantara as well as an engraved chassis plate and some signature ‘Pininfarina 90’ logos, among other things.
The production of the Battista should start soon with the first deliveries starting by the end of the year.
