Bentley is offering five buyers a very interesting opportunity to purchase one of the company’s rarest vehicles of all. Five examples of the Bentley Mulsanne Grand Limousine by Mulliner have become available. Built and delivered in 2015, they were never registered or used.
The five Bentley models are the Grand Limousine, meaning they were stretched by 1,000 mm in the center. They’ve also had the roof raised by 79 mm to add more headroom and create what Bentley calls “a passenger experience like no other.”
Made as a private commission, they were intended for the United Arab Emirates. The cars were delivered, but not used or registered, Bentley said. Production of this model ended last year, making this the last chance to purchase one “new.”
Inside each car is a bottle cooler with crystal flutes and a beverage cabinet with bespoke crystal tumblers. Veneer folding picnic tables hold your beverage of choice. They also have iPad docking stations. A custom HVAC system gives each of the four rear passengers their own micro-climate, and there is an intercom to speak with the driver as well as electrochromic glass for the divider.
Powering the limos is the iconic Bentley six and three-quarters V8, here making 505 hp and 752 lb-ft of torque. If the blue and silver (silver frost over Moroccan blue) isn’t to your tastes, Bentley has Damson over Black Crystal, Onyx over Candy Red, Rubino Red over Light Gazelle, and single-tone Black Sapphire. While these are leftover 2015 model year vehicles, don’t expect Bentley to be flogging them with an inflatable gorilla or massive discounts. Instead, you’ll probably pay more. Still, how often does a chance come up to be driven like a head of state?
