Beyond the Track: F1’s Lando Norris Debuts His Custom McLaren 765LT Spider

Formula 1 standout Lando Norris recently collected his McLaren 765LT Spider, a design of his own specification realized by McLaren Special Operations (MSO). The car, a rare breed, is one of only 765 produced, boasting scintillating performance, ultra-lightweight, and track-focused dynamics.

The McLaren 765LT carries forward the esteemed Longtail name, first attached to the legendary McLaren F1 GTR in 1997. Powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, the car delivers 765PS and 800Nm, reaching 0-200km/h in a rapid seven seconds. Its ultra-lightweight and sophisticated track-developed suspension enhance the exhilarating driving experience.

23-year-old F1 star, Lando Norris, has taken possession of a unique McLaren 765LT Spider, personalized to his specifications. The MSO Lando Norris 1 of 1 showcases a Gloss Blue Tint Visual Carbon Fibre exterior, Satin Visual Carbon Fibre details, Satin Black wheels, and Lando Yellow brake calipers. A four-stripe graphic, visible under high-downforce conditions, is featured under the rear wing. The interior reflects Norris’s personal colour scheme, visible when the retractable hard top is down, with Navy Blue Carbon Fibre racing seats, Napier stitching, ‘LN4’ embroidery on the headrests, and Navy Blue Alcantara on the door and dash trim.

The McLaren 765LT Spider, customized for Lando Norris, is adorned with an array of special features, including three Carbon Fibre Exterior Upgrade Packs, an MSO Defined Carbon Fibre Roof Tonneau and Rear Aero Bridge, and a Dark Chrome McLaren badge on the hood.

Furthermore, the interior presents hidden custom features such as an MSO Custom Dark Tint Carbon Union Flag Sill with a Lando Graphic, a Blue Tint Carbon Fade MSO Custom Steering Wheel with Norris’s branding, and an MSO Dedication Plaque confirming Norris’s commission. The personalization extends to a Gloss Blue Tint Visual Carbon Fibre keyfob with a Lando Yellow Lando Graphic, completing the distinctive design.

“I’ve been able to drive a lot of different McLarens, but this is the first car that I’ve designed; this is me in a car. I’m a carbon lover, the more carbon I can have, the better but I didn’t want to have my logo everywhere, I wanted something a bit more subtle and MSO has done a fantastic job to realize my vision,” said Lando Norris, McLaren Racing Formula 1 Driver. “My first custom car has been designed by McLaren and MSO and is even more perfect than I can imagine.”
