Adds bright red grille to frozen black SUVs with shadowline trim
Comes with loads of exclusive interior content
BMW is making two red-trimmed special editions for 2022. The Black Vermilion BMW X5 and BMW X6 will be produced in extremely small volumes, combining frozen plack paint with a high gloss grille to make a set of SUVs that will stand out in even the fanciest suburban parking lot.
Just 350 of the Black Vermilion X5s will be built for the U.S. market, and only “approximately 50” will be built for Canada. Canadian shoppers will also have access to 50 of the X6 models, while that version won’t be sold in the States at all.
Based on the xDrive40i trims of the crossovers, both 2022 X5 and X6 Black Vermilion will wear BMW Individual Frozen Black metallic paint along with the vermillion BMW kidney grille bars. 22-inch Orbit Grey wheels are fitted, and the SUVs will have black-out Shadowline headlights with adaptive BMW Laserlights and their blue signature.
A full Merino leather interior is installed using black hides and red contrast piping. The floormats will have red piping as well, and there will be a Black Vermilion special edition badge on the center console.
These two Rudolph specials will come loaded up with performance and comfort options like the M Sport Package, adaptive M suspension, M Sport brakes and exhaust, as well as a Nappa leather dash, glass interior elements like the stunning gear shift, and an Alcantara headliner.
With such small volumes, these red and black stunners will be for pre-order only. Canadian pricing starts from $99,990 for the X5 and $103,990 for the X6, with U.S. X5 from $82,300. Production is set to start near the end of the year.
