The i7 will provide up to 305 miles of EPA-rated range.
This luxury sedan will combine an involving driving experience and the best technologies.
The 7 Series has always served as BMW’s flagship sedan family. As the German luxury automaker moves towards electrification, the 7 will maintain its position in the company’s product line. The new i7 will officially launch on April 20th but BMW’s already shared a few details.
“The new BMW 7 Series is absolutely trail-blazing in every respect. Like no other model, the BMW 7 Series stands for BMW’s innovative strength,” says Frank Weber, Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG for Development. “The all-electric BMW i7 is also the most powerful BMW 7 Series. It combines the best driving experience with the ultimate digital experience. This makes it the ideal vehicle for forward-thinking, responsible decision-makers and avant-garde pioneers.”
One statement made by BMW is a little near-sighted. They refer to the i7 as “the first all-electric luxury sedan in the world,” which it obviously isn’t. Even so, BMW says the i7 will deliver 305 miles of range (forecast based on the vehicle’s development status to date) and that it will innovative and unparalleled user experience. As part of the experience, the car will feature a curved driver display and an ultra-wide ceiling-mounted 31-inch screen.
We’ll know more about the new flagship BMW i7 in just over a month.
