The Brabus G V12 900 will pack 888-horsepower and reach 100km/h in only 3.8 seconds. And it won’t be cheap.
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is one of the most iconic luxury SUVs in the world. If the 577-horsepower AMG 63 version is too tame for your liking, Brabus will serve up an insane V12-powered G-Class for your amusement. The Brabus G V12 900 is simply the most insane and perhaps expensive way to express your need for raw power.
Brabus will shoehorn a bored-out 6.0-litre V12 from an S600 and make it make lots of power. Now a 6.3-litre, along with bigger turbochargers and stronger internals, it produces 888-horsepower and is capable of 1,106 lb.-ft. of torque but is limited to 885 lb.- ft. probably to avoid breaking everything. On that note, the Brabus is equipped with Benz’s 9-speed automatic transmission as the older 5- and 7-speed transmission (those offered with the V12) were unable to handle the extra torque.
The Brabus G V12 900 is shod with the company’s “Widestar” body kit. Because of its four extra inches of width, the G V12 900 can roll on 23- or 24-inch wheels.
The sad part is that only 10 of these will be built and sold. At roughly £550,000, it’s not like all your friends could buy one.
