The Jake Stinger is the skull-like graphic often associated with the Corvette.
The Pace Car C8 has it featured on its hood.
Personalizing one’s car or SUV is a must for many owners. This is why many automakers offer an array of accessories for their products. The new and still very hot C8 Corvette is one such car that can be customized via a Chevrolet catalog and for diehard fans of America’s sports car, more are yet to come.
Here’s a little background on Jake: It is the Corvette Racing Team’s mascot and features a “skull with eyes in the shape of the crossed-flags logo,” and has been since the early 2000s. By 2009, Corvette designers began incorporating it into production cars.
The news of the introduction of new accessories for the C8 Corvette comes from Harlan Charles, Corvette Product Manager, as shared by corvetteblogger.com. In a virtual Corvette presentation, Charles introduced a graphic of the C8 Corvette IMSA and Indy 500 Pace Car which is loaded with existing and upcoming genuine accessories.
The Pace Car includes a high wing rear spoiler, carbon fiber ground effects, Jake wheel center caps, and hood stripe, among other elements. About the Jake Stinger hood stripe, Charles said “coming soon” and also added that the “ground effects and the high wing are going to be coming back available soon,” as well.
