C8 Chevy Corvette essentially totaled after it falls off Florida dealer’s lift
Dealership employees post photos of the car to social media to add insult to injury
Owner could get a new Z06 C8 Corvette as a result
When you bring your new C8 Chevy Corvette to your local dealership, you expect the service technicians to know what they are doing. A particular Chevrolet dealer in Florida apparently didn’t get the memo on how to properly lift the C8 Corvette off the ground.
The car pictured below belongs to Jake Anthony Miller from Jacksonville, Florida. It fell off a lift at a local Chevrolet dealership, and to make matters worst, some technicians at the dealer took pictures of the car in its mangled state and posted them to social media.
The owner saw a post regarding the car on Facebook, and obviously wasn’t too please.
The owner has apparently been in talks with Chevrolet executives about what to do next. Although it may be possible to repair the C8 Corvette, we can understand the owner for wanting more.
The post also shows a diagram that highlights the unique weight distribution of the 2020 Chevy Corvette C8. The dealership’s technician that lifted the car was apparently unaware of the proper procedure.
Jake Anthony Miller has been in talks with GM and mentioned in the comments of his post that he wasn’t interested in a new C8 Stingray.
“I’ve spoken with executives, I’m not interested in a new base model. I’m waiting for the Z06 for my next C8.” Hopefully the dealer and GM will work together to get this man his Z06 quickly, and with a significant rebate.
