2027 Cadillac Celestiq Night Test
The Cadillac CELESTIQ already occupies a unique position within the American automaker’s lineup. Each example is personalized according to its owner’s preferences, and Cadillac is now using that flexibility to introduce a new creation called Night Test.
The theme is inspired by the long hours of preparation that precede a performance. Cadillac references athletes training alone and musicians rehearsing away from the public eye. In the automotive world, that philosophy naturally recalls nighttime testing sessions, when engineers work on vehicle development without an audience or spectacle.
The body is finished in high-gloss Caspia Metallic paint. The dark treatment continues with 23-inch wheels featuring a similarly subdued finish. Cadillac also adds Jade accents, a colour repeated at the front of the vehicle. Chrome is conspicuous by its absence on this particular CELESTIQ.
Around the headlights, the “Jade lighting bezel” receives a dark finish designed to diffuse light rather than reflect it. The treatment gives this CELESTIQ a more stealthy appearance than some of the more extravagant configurations Cadillac has previously shown.
The same philosophy carries over into the cabin, where Cadillac describes the design as an exercise in function-oriented minimalism.
The seats combine two highly contrasting leather colours: Backen Black and Sheer Gray. Carbon fibre emphasizes the cabin’s technical character, while various brushed-metal elements complete the presentation.
Cadillac is aiming for an atmosphere that feels more like a precision instrument than a traditional luxury lounge. It is an approach that contrasts with the classic image of a large American luxury car, where wood, chrome and warm colours have traditionally played prominent roles.
Like every CELESTIQ, Night Test is hand-built at the Cadillac Artisan Center in Warren, Michigan.
Each CELESTIQ can be configured with an individualized combination of colours, materials and finishes. Night Test illustrates that philosophy particularly well: Cadillac is not simply introducing another colour-and-trim combination available from a catalogue, but rather a unique vehicle developed around a cohesive theme.
The CELESTIQ Night Test will make its public debut during Monterey Car Week. It will also serve as a showcase for Cadillac’s personalization program, demonstrating how prospective customers can work with the brand to commission a CELESTIQ according to their own specifications.
