The Escalade remains a dominant force in the full-size luxury SUV market, with over 1 million units sold globally since its debut. Cadillac’s Escalade lineup now includes both gasoline-powered and all-electric options.
On the latter front, Cadillac introduced the 2026 Escalade IQL, the extended version of its all-electric luxury SUV. Designed to offer more passenger and cargo space than the Escalade IQ, the Escalade IQL will be produced at General Motors’ Factory ZERO plant in Detroit from mid-2025. It will be available in Canada, the U.S., and other global markets.
The Escalade IQL’s silhouette is longer than that of the Escalade IQ, increasing interior space for third-row passengers and cargo storage. A front “eTrunk” provides an additional 12.2 cubic feet of secure storage. The interior includes a 55-inch curved pillar-to-pillar display with Escalade IQL-specific graphics, creating an immersive digital experience.
Seating accommodates up to seven passengers, with a power-folding third row for additional storage flexibility. The available Executive Second Row package adds stowable tray tables, personal screens, massaging seats, and headrest speakers, while third-row passengers benefit from four extra inches of legroom and one extra inch of headroom compared to the Escalade IQ.
Performance is driven by an all-electric powertrain producing 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque, allowing the Escalade IQL to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in under five seconds when in Velocity Max mode. Cadillac estimates a driving range of up to 740 km on a full charge, while a maximum towing capacity of 7,500 lbs maintains the Escalade’s utility. The vehicle features Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 and Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, independent front and rear suspension, and 24-inch wheels with 35-inch tires to balance ride comfort with performance.
The 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL will be offered in Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and Premium Sport trims. Canadian pricing will be announced closer to launch.
