Canada Gets First Special-Edition BMW M8’s In The World

In partnership with BMW M, BMW Canada unveiled a special edition of the M8, the Individual Manufaktur Editions.

BMW will launch in October the first special-edition M8’s in the world, the M8 Individual Manufaktur Editions. Based on the 2020 BMW M8 Competition Coupé, those limited editions will come in two exclusive colors, Fire Red and Frozen Black. Both these colors will be limited to only 10 copies eac.

The Fire Red Edition pays homage to the BMW M8 Prototype E31 (pictured below) while the Frozen Black Edition “speaks to the M8 Coupé’s dominant position amongst luxury sports coupes” says the press release.

“BMW M is delighted to be collaborating with BMW Canada to launch the very first M8 Individual Manufaktur Editions worldwide” stated Marcus Flasch, CEO of BMW M GmbH, adding: “As one of the strongest markets globally for BMW M, Canada is a natural market in which to introduce these ultra-exclusive exclusive flagship models which are poised to fulfill the promise of the original M8 prototype”.

The 2020 BMW M8 Individual Manufaktur Editions will be powered by a twin-turbo V8 developing 617 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. The powertrain will allow the BMW to reach 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds.

The Manufaktur Editions will also get a special treatment inside the cabin with its full Merino leather in a two-tone Sakhir Orange/Black treatment. Also, a “BMW Individual Manufaktur” inscription will be featured on the carbon fibre cup holder cover.

The M8 Individual Manufaktur Editions will have a retail price of $198,000 and will hit select Canadian dealerships next month.
