Canadian Ford Shelby Mustang GT350 Crashes After Car Meet

Canadians can crash Mustangs after car meets like the best of them

  • Shelby Mustang Crash happened in Whitby, Ontario

  • GT350 with 526 horsepower spun out of control after a car meet

This isn’t the first time nor is it the last time you will see a Ford Mustang crash after a car meet. There’s something about the Mustang that attracts accidents after gatherings more so than any other vehicle out there.

Maybe there are more Mustang meetings. Or maybe, it’s the fact that the Mustang packs a ton of RWD power at an affordable price tag, leading to a situation where there are more unqualified drivers behind the wheel of Mustangs than other cars. I’m sure we’d see a ton of Ferrari 488 crashes if the 488 was $45,000.

In any case, the latest Ford Mustang after-meet crash happened in Whitby Ontario and the car was a beautiful black Ford Shelby Mustang GT350.

2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 First Drive Review: More of what customers want

If you’ve ever driven the Shelby GT350, you know it’s a very nervous car with a loose rear axle. Even in a straight line, flooring the throttle irresponsibly can lead to, well, this. Of course, if you roll on the gas and drive the car like the 526-horsepower monster that it is, you won’t have a problem.

You will actually find that the Shelby GT350 is quite poised and capable. It’s definitely a well engineered muscle car, but even the best cars have their limits.

In other words, this crash is purely user error. We do hope the driver is ok regardless.
