Chevrolet has unveiled the Equinox EV, a compact electric SUV that will replace the gasoline-powered Equinox in 2024. In the meantime, the current 2023 Chevrolet Equinox continues to be a popular option in its segment due to its value.
Here is a detailed breakdown of its pricing structure in Canada:
The 2023 Chevrolet Equinox is offered in four trim levels that have prices ranging from $30,347 to $38,647 before options, which can bump the price tag of the fully-loaded Premier up to $50,292.
Every version is powered by the same 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine since the more powerful 2.0L unit was retired after the 2021 model year. This powertrain delivers 175 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque to the pavement via a six-speed automatic transmission.
As standard, both the LS and LT models are front-wheel drive while the RS and Premier are equipped with all-wheel drive. AWD can be added to LS and LT models at a $2,400 premium.
The entry-level 2023 Equinox is the LS which comes equipped with features such as keyless entry with pushbutton start, 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED headlamps, heated side mirrors, a 3.5-inch monochromatic screen in the instrument cluster, Active Noise Cancellation, a 7-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, heated front seats, OnStar connected services, remote start, Wi-Fi hot spot capability, and Chevrolet Safety Assist which includes Forward collision alert, pedestrian braking, following distance indicator, lane keep assist, and automatic high beams.
An LS Convenience package adds tinted rear glass, an 8-way power driver’s seat, and 2-way power driver lumbar support.
The LT starts at $32,447 in FWD form or $34,847 when equipped with all-wheel drive. For this supplement, this model adds body-coloured mirror caps, bright window mouldings, LED daytime running lights, a 4,2-inch colour driver information screen, illuminated mirrors in the sun visors, overhead sunglass storage, release levers for the rear seats in the cargo compartment, and available grey cloth upholstery.
This model can also be ordered with the LT True North Edition, a $3,845 package that tacks on a panoramic sunroof, a cargo liner, the dual-zone automatic climate control system, an 8-inch touchscreen, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera system, adaptive cruise control, power-folding mirrors, a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel, a power liftgate, black bowtie logos, and front and rear floor liners.
Every LT can also benefit from the Confidence and Convenience package that includes the front and rear parking assist, the dual-zone climate control, the leather-wrapped steering wheel, and the power liftgate.
The RS is the sportiest trim level of the Equinox. Available only with all-wheel drive, this $37,442 version adds black-painted 19-inch alloy wheels, the Confidence and Convenience package, LED taillamps, and roof-mounted side rails.
The RS can be ordered with an RS Plus package that bundles other packages to bring a panoramic sunroof, an 8-inch touchscreen, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, and USB data ports in the front center console, at a cost of $2,355.
Drivers who want leather upholstery can choose the $1,895 RS Leather package that replaces cloth with Jet Black leather and adds a 7-speaker Bose audio system.
As with the LS and LT, the RS can be fitted with rear cross-traffic alert as well as blind zone monitoring and parking sensors for $235.
The top-of-the-line Premier includes 18-inch wheels, chromed door handles, fog lamps, a hands-free power liftgate, blind zone monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a high-definition rear-view camera, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, memory settings for the driver’s seat, perforated leather upholstery, a HomeLink home remote, wireless charging, and much of the content which is optional on other trim levels at a price of $38,647.

Other packages available on the 2023 Equinox include the Chrome package that brings chromed touches to the LS and LT models for a price of $1,305, the $895 Midnight Edition that replaces chrome with gloss black on the LS, and the $1,290 Blackout package that does the same to the LT.
Buyers who want a similar treatment done on a Premier grade Equinox will have to opt for the Redline Edition, which includes black interior accents and red stripes on the gloss black 19-inch wheels.
In addition, the LT, RS, and Premier offer the “Hit the Road” package which includes roof rack cross bars and moulded assist steps for a price tag of $1,435.
