- The Lamborghini Huracán EVO will be the first car from the brand to offer a fully connected infotainment system.
- Through Amazon Alexa, occupants will be able to control seat heaters, climate controls and audio with simple voice controls.
- Alexa in the Lamborghini will also enable users to communicate with their Alexa-equipped homes.
This is perhaps the greatest combination of automotive- and connectivity performance ever. Now that Lamborghini will offer Amazon Alexa in all versions of the Lamborghini Huracán EVO, both the AWD and newly-announced RWD iterations, one of the world’s greatest super sports cars will include one of the most sophisticated connected infotainment systems currently available.
If at first many infotainment systems served more as an unwanted distraction for drivers, who are expected to concentrate on the road ahead, the integration of Amazon Alexa in the new Lamborghini Huracán EVO may be the greatest integration of technology in a car ever.
Amazon Alexa will allow the driver near-complete control over all internal functions of the car without ever losing focus on the real task at hand, which is driving. Alexa will permit functions such as climate, audio, and other comfort settings to be controlled via intuitive vocal commands. Alexa will be seamlessly integrated into the Huracán’s LDVI dynamic set-up (Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata).
This degree of full amalgamation will come in handy when driving the 640-horsepower naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 supercar. This power enables the AWD Lamborghini Huracán EVO to reach 100 km/h in only 2.9 seconds and 200 km/h in 9 seconds, from a standstill.
Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini, says: “The Huracán EVO is an outstanding driver’s car, and connectivity enables our customers to focus on the driving, thus enhancing their Lamborghini experience. Lamborghini is a future shaper, and this is the first time an automaker will deliver in-cabin car control through Amazon Alexa to bring together car controls as well as smart commands and Alexa’s standard capabilities.”
