The Equinox EV can be seen on the Chevrolet website
This upcoming SUV should only cost $30,000 when it arrives in the US in the Fall
The Equinox EV will be smaller than the recently revealed Blazer EV
Chevrolet teased the side profile of the upcoming Equinox EV only a day after having revealed the 2024 Blazer EV.
The automaker announced electric versions of the Equinox and the Blazer many months already but now both models have been revealed on the internet.
After the official launch of the Blazer EV yesterday, the Chevrolet website was updated and it now shows the side profile of the upcoming Equinox EV in the upcoming vehicles section, right next to the new Blazer.
This is important since it is the first time an actual image of this model has been published after multiple renderings and close-up images gave us an idea of what to expect.
The image shows the crossover wearing a bright blue paint job that is paired with a white roof and white mirror caps. This is not a surprise since a teaser video published in March had already shown this colour combo.
In total, the publicity material that has been revealed as of now shows three colour schemes, with a silver LT model appearing in a rendering alongside a red RS version with a black roof.
From what can be seen, the Equinox EV will have flush-mounted door handles and a fairly thick C-pillar. The model displayed on the website is the LT version despite the RS being the first that will be introduced.
The front end will feature a slim light bar that will act as the daytime running lights and will most likely integrate a light-up Chevrolet logo.
The Equinox EV will share its Ultium platform with all of the other new electric vehicles from General Motors, including the Blazer EV, which will be positioned above it in the Chevrolet lineup, with a starting price of $45,000 in the US compared to $30,000 for the Equinox EV LT.
