The 2021 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 was revealed ahead of its official debut next month at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
GM unveiled the new look of their Chevy Colorado earlier today. The first 2021 Colorado in the lineup to be shown is the Colorado ZR2.
For the 2021MY, the Colorado Z71 and ZR2 models will get a new exterior paint color option called “Sand Dune Metallic”. The lineup will also feature a greater differentiation from trim to trim, according to the carmaker.
Just like the Silverado and Silverado HD, all variants of the 2021 Colorado will get the new front grille featuring the revised Chevy “bowtie” emblem. The 2021 Colorado ZR2 receives the all-new, lettered, flow-through “Chevrolet” front fascia. As for the back, the usual Chevrolet “bowtie” was replaced by an embossed “Chevrolet”.
Speaking of bowties, the WT and LT trims will have the all-new gold Chevy bowtie logos. Meanwhile, the Z71 gets a black bowtie logo.
“We’ve sold 520,000 Colorado pickups in five years through a relentless, foot-on-the-gas approach to product and feature updates,” said Bob Krapes, director of marketing, Chevrolet Trucks. “With its new-look front end and tailgate, Colorado will now have a more aggressive appearance to match its award-winning capability.”
The 2021 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 will offer a solid off-road performance with all its equipment. It will come standard with the Multimatic DSSVTM position-sensitive dampers, standard front and rear electronic locking differentials, 2-inch suspension lift, 3.5-inch wider track, off-road rocker protection, cast iron control arms, Autotrac transfer case, and multiple skid plates.
Chevrolet’s all-new 2021 Colorado ZR2 will go on sale next year. Its first public appearance will be 2019 Method Race Wheels Laughlin Desert Classic on October 10th; however, it will debut officially at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas in November.
