Chrysler Plots Comeback for 2026 With Revived SRT and Affordable New Lineup

Chrysler prepares launch of multiple new vehicles in 2026, including an affordable compact and crossover duo.

  • Chrysler to launch updated Pacifica, two new crossovers, and sedan starting in 2026.

  • Sub-$30,000 US compact car in development to address rising vehicle prices and buyer affordability.

  • Stellantis revives SRT and adopts flexible powertrain options across Chrysler’s future product lineup.

Chrysler will launch several new models in 2026 as part of an important product revival that includes a redesigned Pacifica, two crossovers, a sedan, and a compact vehicle priced under USD $30,000. The brand’s leadership confirmed the details during a series of public appearances and interviews this year, outlining a renewed strategic direction supported by Stellantis.

Over the last year, longer even, Chrysler CEO Christine Feuell has rejected persistent rumours that the brand was nearing closure or sale. Speaking at the Chrysler Carlisle Nationals this summer, Feuell said, “I want to put to rest any thoughts, rumours, or assumptions that it is being sold. It is not.” She added that Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa “believes in Chrysler,” citing his commitment to rebuild the portfolio and invest in the North American market.

Under Stellantis’ revised plans, Chrysler will no longer pursue an electric-only product strategy by 2028. Instead, future models will use multi-energy platforms, like Alfa Romeo and others, capable of supporting internal combustion, hybrid, and battery-electric powertrains.

The upcoming model launches begin with a substantially updated Pacifica minivan featuring new design language. Two new crossovers will follow: a D-segment model codenamed C6X, and a smaller crossover positioned beneath it. Chrysler is also developing a new car that may carry forward the 300 nameplate – let’s hope so.

Chrysler also confirmed it is developing a compact vehicle intended to sell for less than $30,000 USD ($42,000 CDN), targeting buyers priced out of the increasingly expensive new-car market. Feuell noted that the average transaction price in North America now exceeds $49,000, creating a need for affordable options.

Chrysler wants a production version of the Halcyon Concept

The bigger news for enthusiasts is that excitement will return to Chrysler. The storied American automaker plans to revive its SRT performance division. Feuell said she’s excited to bring back SRT, citing collaboration with Tim Kuniskis and Matt McAlear on a performance strategy that includes Chrysler-branded SRT vehicles. This could, though doubtfully, include an SRT Pacifica. We can definitely imagine Chrysler going “SRT-Line” for decaf SRT models – this is a well-established and successful formula.

Feuell also indicated the brand’s future design and engineering approach would return to its earlier “blue-collar luxury” identity with vehicles that offer comfort and style at accessible price points.

Chrysler’s last all-new vehicle was the Pacifica, launched in 2017. The current lineup includes the Pacifica, Pacifica Hybrid, and Voyager fleet minivan.

We wish Chrysler a prompt and roaring return to glory.
