There aren’t a lot of convertible SUVs, but for some there’s already enough. Well, feast your eyes on the Hyundai Venue convertible.
Created by X-Tomi who also rendered a Mazdaspeed3, this Hyundai Venue cabriolet doesn’t look that bad, actually. It certainly looks better than Nissan’s Murano CrossCabriolet experiment and we are guessing a convertible Venue could actually work.
The 2020 Hyundai Venue was unveiled at the New York Auto Show last month and is planned for the end of the year. It will be the most affordable utility vehicle in the Hyundai lineup and is expected to start at less than $20,000. That means that in theory, a convertible Hyundai Venue would start at around $25,000 and could be the most affordable drop-top on the market.
We can’t see Hyundai ever building a convertible Hyundai Venue, but the idea kind of makes sense. Or maybe we are just bored and willing to entertain any possible idea. In any case, X-Tomi has got us thinking.
The Venue was one of the most popular models to come out of the NYIAS. Smaller than a Kona, it will be a FWD-only entry-level SUV with a small, four-cylinder engine. The 2020 Hyundai Venue will compete directly with the Nissan Kicks and will be among the most affordable crossovers in Canada.
