Little known tuner Xeigen has created renderings of a bodykit for the C8 Corvette called the C8 DAYTONA
The kit turns the already impressive Corvette into a true supercar
Practicality may be problematic, however
The renderings of the C8 Chevrolet Corvette with a very agressive and very sporty body kit are out of this world, I think we can all agree on that.
They come from Xeigen, a little-known tuner that has worked on various projects including a stunning E46 325 wagon. The company recently released these renderings of a highly modified C8 Corvette that pays tribute to John Greenwood, a race car builder that is credited with a range of out-of-this-world models including one based off of the C3 Corvette.
Xeigen released the renderings on its Facebook page. The car is a cross between a Greenwood design and a C8.R, and it’s purely stunning. The company released the renderings in a variety of liveries, all looking equally good.
There are, however, a few problems here. For starters, Xeigen is far from offering the widebody C8 kit in stores. The company is actually looking for partners to get their product to market by 2021. And while the designs are incredible, there are some elements that won’t work in the real world, like for example the fact that you can’t hide a penny between the body and the tire. We also pray to whoever is around that there’s a front lift system.
It’s too early in the project to know what kind of performance modifications the Xeigen widebody Corvette would get, but one thing’s for sure: This car needs to be loud.
