Two trims are essentially sold out: Premium and California Route 1.
That leaves the base Select and top version GT trims.
Even if you order one of these two, you’ll have to be patient.
With still so few EVs offered by automakers in North America, demand for the few for sale is through the roof. Production and delivery delays are the norm today however if you were planning to order a new Ford Mustang Mach-E, you might not get the version you want.
The overwhelming demand for the two middle Mach-E trims, Premium and California Route 1, has forced Ford to bluntly stop taking orders. This leaves only the basic Select and top version GT trims, and an $18,000 price difference in the US. On Ford Canada’s website, both the Premium and California Route 1 are still selectable however that could change… Should they disappear, the price gap jumps to a staggering $34,500 as Canada only get the GT Performance Edition.
“Customers may work with their dealers to buy a Mach-E from stock,” said Ford spokesperson Emma Bergg as reported by Green Car Reports. “With unprecedented demand for these models, we are building existing customer orders for Premium and California Route 1 models.”
