Latest Last Call Specials
Dodge leaning hard on classic names, but not much on extra stuff
Dodge is hoping you’ll swap your keys for the latest Last Call special edition. The 2023 Dodge Charger and Challenger Scat Pack Swinger are very big on green and gold and telling everyone around you exactly what you’re into.
A pair of modern-day Swingers is how Dodge describes the car. We’re not sure that’s the right term anymore, but the Dodge Challenger Poly doesn’t quite have the same ring to it. We’ll wipe our hands of the whole Scat Pack Swinger name for the time being.
The cars count as the third AND fourth models in Dodge’s seven-deep run of Last Call models, after the Shakedown and Super Bee cars. We’ll get two more in the next two weeks and the seventh at SEMA in November.
The Swinger Challenger gets a gold (Dodge calls all of these “Gold School” but we can’t bear to say that more than once) grille badge, shaker intake, and spoiler badge, along with gold wheels. Inside, the cars get Nappa and Alcantara leather seats with green stitching, aluminum trim that looks like wood, and a green Swinger badge.
The Charger gets most of the same kit, but in the four-door version of the car. For paint, you can get F8 Green, Sublime Green, and White Knuckle.
Dodge isn’t swapping the engines in these cars, it’s the same 6.4L V8 as other Scat Pack cars. Making 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. Dodge will sell the cars only in widebody form, and just 1,000 of each will be built. Order info (and probably pricing) will be announced in the fall
