They will preview future products in August during Speed Week.
Over a three-day period, they will make various “muscle” announcements.
We’re beginning to seriously think that Dodge isn’t late to the electrify party; they’re just fashionably late. As in, they took their time to get ready and now, they’re about to burst on the scene with good news for all muscle car lovers.
The MotorTrend Presents Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge event starts on August 12th with several displays and activities. Dodge will begin its series of declarations on the 15th and there will be three parts to its “muscle announcements.”
The first will have to do with “current muscle announcements” which should involve final iterations of the Charger, Challenger, and potentially the Durango where the V8 engines are concerned. We’re expecting more power, special colour schemes, wheels, and so on.
August 16th will see “gateway muscle” updates shared. This points the finger at the first official showing of the expected Dodge Hornet. The small crossover will be a reskinned Alfa Romeo Tonale meaning it could sport a 272-horsepower PHEV version eventually.
Dodge will Launch its First Fully-Electric Muscle Car in 2024
Finally, as reported by Automotive News, the third day will be devoted to “future muscle” plans. August 17th should therefore mark the official introduction of Dodge’s electric muscle car concept first previewed in July of 2021.
All of this will be followed by Detroit’s August 20th Woodward Dream Cruise.
