E-Legend EL1 Is A Modern All-Electric Audi S1 Quattro

The Audi S1 quattro is revisited to perfection by E-Legend


  • Only 30 examples of the EL1 will be made.

  • It’s powered by a triple-electric motor setup.

  • The total system output is over 800 horsepower.


Motorsport enthusiasts, especially those who favour rallying, all know and recognized the S1, or Ur-Quattro, as the car that changed everything. Without digging too deep, the Audi’s claim to fame was speed, performance, and, of course, quattro AWD. E-Legend has captured the essence of the S1 in its limited-run EL1.

The EL1 is powered by three electric motors fed by a 90kWh battery pack, good for a 248-miles range. E-Legend will not disclose the origin of the components however are happy to share that the car will crush the 0-62mph in just 2.8sec. And, will have enough power to complete two laps of the Nürburgring Nordschleife in its most intense Sport Plus mode.

Other than the EL1’s instantly recognizable design, it will feature 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, a unique rear spoiler, and three-way adjustable suspension.

“The goal of E-Legend is to transfer analog primal instincts of emotional driving into the modern world,” E-Legend said, as reported by Autocar. They added the following: “In its first stage of development, this automobile is powered by electric motors achieving 600kW [805bhp] and wears an extremely enchanting dress in the style of one of the unforgettable technical wonders of the legendary rally era.”

Such as exclusive high-performance won’t come cheap. Each unit will be priced from around £762,000 (€890,000 or about $1,060,000 US) before taxes.
