Electrify Canada to Offer Complimentary Charging on Canada Day

Canada Day might be a good day to break out the old EV and go on a road trip

  • Free charging will be reserved for its 30 ultra-fast charging stations.

  • They are located in Quebec, Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia.

  • These electrons will be complimentary from July 1 at 12:01 a.m. until July 2 at 3:00 a.m. EDT.

The long Canada Day weekend is usually one for visiting Canada’s great outdoors or heading to see family and friends. In celebration of our nation’s birth, Electrify Canada will give away free electrons at its 30 ultra-fast charging stations.

These stations are positioned along major highways in Quebec, Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia. Each one is equipped with four chargers capable of delivering between 150kW and 350kW of power. The latter is the fastest charging speed available today.

“Providing complimentary charging across our network is our way of thanking those who have already made the switch to electric while also giving an opportunity to try our ultra-fast network on a road trip,” says Robert Barrosa, senior director of sales, business development & marketing at Electrify Canada. “As we continue to expand our ultra-fast charging network coast to coast, we look forward to building EV range confidence among Canadian drivers and enabling them to go further, faster.”

Furthermore, Electrify Canada is currently offering a $65 rebate on its Level-2 9.6kW home charger, the HomeStation. when purchased on ElectrifyHome.ca. This deal will last until July 8, 2022, and the promotion code is CANADADAY22.
