Stunning new electric Elektron One supercar set to debut next year
Will have all-wheel drive and over 1,341 horsepower
Will cost over $400,000 Canadian, roughly $375,000 US
The Elektron One is a high-powered electric supercar built in Italy by a team of Italian and Turkish engineers that have honed their skills in Formula E. Expected at next 2021 Geneva Motor Show (which may or may not be cancelled), the Elektron One combines remarkable power with a beautiful design.
Powering the Elektron are multiple electric motors that bump out 1,341 horsepower. The power is sent to all four wheels. The car is the dream of engineer and businessman Armağan Arabul.
“There are electric cars that can feel like a real supersports car now, for example Pininfarina Battista and Rimac C2. However, the prices of these cars are much more than million euros and their production quantities are very low. We will keep Elektron One in the 330-350 thousand EUR price band before tax and ensure that this car remains at a relatively more accessible level. We are planning to become the first electric supersports car brand to produce in mass production quantities”.
The Elektron One is indeed expected to go at about $375,000 in the US, and under $400,000 in Canada if it ever makes it over here. Elektron hopes to build 140 cars per year.
The car is certainly stunning and the price makes a lot of sense given the power. Let’s hope Arabul and his team come through.
