Electric 911 gets oil company paintwork
500 hp electrified 911 gets classic livery, looks amazing
Everrati Automotive is a company that is creating modernized classics by adding electric drivelines to iconic vehicles. Not content to just update the powertrain, these cars are thoroughly restored and updated when it comes to the interior and the chassis as well. Now, the company has created a gem that is also, well, a little bit ironic. It’s a Porsche 911 with an electric driveline and that stunning Gulf Oil livery.
The Porsche Gulf Signature Edition starts with a 964-generation Porsche 911, but the air-cooled flat-six is tossed in the bin. It’s then replaced by a 500 hp electric motor and a 53 kWh battery pack along with Everrati’s electronic management hardware and software.
That’s more than double the power of the car as it left the factory, letting it zip to 100 km/h in under four seconds. The battery pack in this vintage lightweight is enough for just shy of 300 km of range, though, as the company rightly points out, that range is going to be dependant on your driving style. Drive it like a Porsche and you might end up with less, but you probably won’t mind.
It’s the pale blue and orange that is the signature of this car, though. Those timeless Gulf International racing colours have been part of some of the greatest motorsports liveries of all time. This car is Gulf-approved, despite it being an EV and Gulf being an oil company, and Everrati says they’re the only ones to offer that.
The Porsche Gulf Signature Edition will debut at the Salon Privé Concours d’Elégance, Blenheim Palace, and will be shown along with Everrati’s electric Superformance GT40.
