Fully-restored then converted Porsche 964
Offered in narrow and widebody, loaded with carbon
If you haven’t heard of Everrati before, we’re about to change that. Because the company is one of a growing industry taking classic car icons and giving them electric drivelines for modern and clean performance with classic looks and handling. After taking on the Land Rover Series III and Pagoda Mercedes SL, this is a 500 hp electric Porsche 911.
The UK firm started with a 1991 Porsche 911 which it then stripped down to a bare shell. The chassis was blasted to remove any contamination and then more modern rust-prevention techniques were applied. Everrati seam-welded the chassis for rigidity and then began a painstaking restoration.
Carbon panels like wider fenders and new doors were fitted, and buyers can spec out a carbon fibre roof as well, but we haven’t yet gotten to where the car really deviates from original.
That comes under the rear engine cover where in place of an air-cooled (and oil-dripping) flat-six you’ll find a 500 hp electric motor. Nearly double the power of the original Porsche powertrain. A 53 kWh battery pack has also been fitted, giving an anticipated range of more than 150 miles (243 km). DC fast charging lets the battery get a top-up in under an hour.
An all-new suspension has been fitted with available adaptive dampers configured by an in-dash screen. The interior has been modernised as well with one of Porsche’s modern in-dash systems meant for classics that includes Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay. There’s a custom AC system replacing the now useless original, and the company has upgraded the vintage Porsche dash with new EV-centric instruments.
Loads of upgrades are available including special paints, new wheels, parking sensors, and even an officially license Gulf Oil livery. Orders for the cars are open now, and you can supply a donor 911 or they’ll find one for you for an extra cost.
